Join us for Brew & Brushes, a relaxed, artist-led painting workshop where you'll be guided step by step in recreating a famous painting in a friendly, welcoming environment. Enjoy a brew, take some time for yourself, and discover just how enjoyable getting creative can be.
Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush before or already enjoy being creative, this workshop is designed for everyone to take part at their own pace. Led by Artist in Residence Evelyn Baker from Tipsy Brushes, you'll be guided through each stage of the painting, making it easy to follow while still adding your own personal touch.
Painting can be a wonderful way to slow down, switch off from the stresses of everyday life and focus on something enjoyable for a couple of hours. There are no expectations, no pressure to be 'good at art', and no right or wrong way to create your finished piece. The aim is simply to relax, enjoy the experience and leave with something you're proud of.
As you paint, you'll be able to enjoy tea, coffee or soft drinks in place of the traditional wine, making Brew & Brushes an inclusive, alcohol-free experience that everyone can enjoy. By the end of the session, you'll have your own completed artwork to take home, along with the confidence that creativity really is for everyone.
As always, our café is a calm, welcoming space for anyone who needs it. You don't need to be referred or be in crisis to come along. Just come as you are.
If you're feeling a little nervous because you've never been to a painting workshop before, that's completely okay. Many people come to HRE4U on their own or for the first time, and you'll be made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. There’s never any pressure to join in more than you're comfortable with.
We'd love to welcome you along.
