Our Commitment
HRE4U CIC is committed to creating an online space that feels welcoming, inclusive, and usable for as many people as possible. Accessibility is an important part of how we build and update our website, and we are always learning and improving.
We aim to work towards the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and review our accessibility features as the site grows.
Accessibility Features
We are continually improving accessibility across the site. Current features include:
- Screen Reader Support: Pages are structured to work with screen readers wherever possible.
- Alt Text: We include meaningful alt text for images so non-visual users can understand what is shown.
- Keyboard Navigation: Most of the site can be navigated using a keyboard for users who cannot use a mouse or touch device.
These features will continue to improve over time as we build new tools and refine the ones we already have.
Known Limitations
Some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. These may include:
- occasional layout or spacing issues on certain screen sizes
- inconsistent heading structure on older pages
- limited colour contrast in a small number of areas
We are actively working to improve these as part of our ongoing development cycle.
Feedback
If you face any accessibility barriers or notice something we could improve, we would really appreciate you letting us know through the Feedback Tab.
If the Feedback Tab isn’t accessible to you, you can email us at hello@hre4u.co.uk or reach out via our contact page.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. As we expand our services and improve our technical skills, we will continue making updates that support a better experience for all users.
This statement will be reviewed and updated at least once a year to reflect progress and changes.
Our Future Spaces
HRE4U CIC is developing a community café project, and accessibility is a key part of our planning. When the café opens, we aim to make the space welcoming and accessible to as many people as possible. Full details will be published on our Café Page as the project develops.
And Finally
Accessibility is about people, not just guidelines. We are grateful for your patience as we keep improving and are committed to creating a space that works well for everyone.
HRE4U has been built in house over the past several years. We're not developers, but we are doing our very best to make it easy to use, accessible, and comfortable for as many people as possible. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we're always learning. If something doesn’t work well for you, we would genuinely appreciate you letting us know so we can improve it.
