Choose Your Challenge
Decide what your HAIR for You challenge will be. Shave your head, change your hairstyle, lose the beard, wear a wild wig or come up with something completely of your own.
Pick Your Date
Choose when you're going to take on your challenge. If yours involves a haircut or shave, we'll help arrange it with a barber or hairdresser chosen by HRE4U.
Raise Money
Ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your HAIR for You challenge. There's no limit to what you can raise, and every pound helps support HRE4U.
Take It On
When the day arrives, take on your challenge. Photos are always welcome, especially the ridiculous ones, but sharing anything publicly is completely your choice.
What Counts as HAIR for You?
Pretty much anything involving hair, facial hair or a spectacular lack of it. HAIR for You is about doing something fun, bold or genuinely challenging for you. You don't need a full head of hair to take part.
- Shave your head
- Go from long hair to a short cut
- Take on a dramatic new hairstyle
- Cut off hair you've been growing for years
- Shave off a beard or moustache you've had for years
- Let someone choose a new hairstyle for you
- Wear a ridiculous wig or hairstyle for a day, event or challenge
- Already bald? Put the hair back on with a wig and make that your challenge
- Come up with your own HAIR for You idea
The point isn't how much hair you have. It's choosing something people will want to sponsor you to do and having a bit of fun while raising money for HRE4U.
Raise £100 and We'll Cover the Cut
If your challenge involves a haircut or shave and you raise at least £100 for HRE4U, we'll cover the agreed cost with one of our chosen barbers or hairdressers.
If you raise less than £100, everything you've raised still supports HRE4U and you can absolutely still take on your challenge, but you'll need to cover any haircut or barber costs yourself.
Could Your Hair Help Someone Too?
If you're having a significant amount of hair cut off, you may also be able to donate your hair to an organisation that makes wigs for people who have lost their own hair.
Hair donation is completely optional and separate from fundraising for HRE4U. If you'd like to do it, check the receiving organisation's current requirements before having your hair cut so you know how it needs to be prepared.
A Few Things to Know
- HAIR for You is for adults aged 18 and over.
- Your challenge can involve head hair, facial hair, a wig or another hair-themed idea.
- You never have to shave your head or cut your hair to take part.
- If a haircut or shave is involved, we'll help arrange it with a barber or hairdresser chosen by HRE4U.
- Raise at least £100 and HRE4U will cover the agreed cost of your haircut or shave.
- If you raise less than £100, everything you raise still supports HRE4U, but you'll need to cover any haircut or barber costs yourself.
- There's no maximum fundraising target. Raise as much as you can.
- Sharing photographs or videos with HRE4U is completely optional.
